Information Technology Service Management Systems Certification Scheme

The scheme is based on ISO/IEC 20000-1:2011 Information technology - Service management - Part 1: Service management system requirements. The scheme is aimed at improving information technology (IT) service management and describes an integrated set of management processes for the effective delivery of IT services to the business and its customers.

Applicant CABs will need to comply with JAS-ANZ Procedure 17 - General requirements for bodies operating assessment and certification of Information Technology Management Systems including Information Security Management Systems (ISMSs) and IT Service Management Systems (SMSs).

As a management systems scheme, applicants also need to comply with ISO/IEC 17021:2011 – Conformity Assessment – Requirements for bodies providing audit and certification of management systems.
