Product Certification

Product certification is a means of demonstrating that a product, process, or service satisfies specified requirements.

The requirements for accreditation are those specified in ISO/IEC Guide 65 General requirements for bodies operating product certification systems, as guided by the International Accreditation Forum (IAF) Guidance on the application of ISO/IEC Guide 65, which has been published by JAS-ANZ as Procedure 15.

Owners of product certification schemes include industry associations, regulatory authorities and conformity assessment bodies (CABs). Schemes may be public or private. Currently recognised public schemes, which any CAB can apply to JAS-ANZ for accreditation, are listed in the menu bar on the left hand side of this page.  JAS-ANZ also accredits CABs for private schemes. As private schemes are only available to the scheme owner, they are not listed.
